About Pedal BMX

Pedal BMX was started in January 2001 as just a pet project. It was basically a static website, with some information and pictures I had taken. It slowly expanded and evolved, and eventually I created a few issues of an e-Zine. Soon after I took the very best content from the two issues of the e-zine, as well as mostly new content, and created Issue 1 of Pedal BMX, a printed black and white, locally distributed zine.

Somewhere along the way I added a message board to the site, and a few local members joined. We were holding steady at around 38 members for a long time. Suddenly Backlash BMX announced the closure of their forums, and I suggested the use of Pedal instead. Seemingly overnight the forums quadrupled in size, and it was up-hill for next several years.

More recently traffic to the site had lulled, but now as I've been improving the site constantly and fixing bugs, traffic is rising again. As it does, so will the amount of original content we will be able to produce.   The direction I want to take Pedal in now, is an all inclusive online bike stunt community, which fosters not only the collaboration and connection of riders all around the world, but also acts as a central respository for all knowledge and media which is bike stunt.

This should probably read 'About Me' as I'm basically it. I design the merchandise, I build and update the website, I file our taxes, and I am responsible for pretty much everything that's wrong with Pedal.
